Competition Law - Australia is an outlier

Pecuniary penalties for competition law breaches across the globe and in Australia have been the subject of detailed analysis by the OECD in its recent report: Pecuniary Penalties for Competition Law Infringements in Australia. The Report finds that “Australia is an outlier” in comparison to other systems and recommends reform to Australian pecuniary penalties to “better deter” anti-competitive behaviour.
